This project allows for extreme freedom for us students. Our only constraints were it has to be a clock and that it must use 3 machines. My idea was to laser cut/print Jimmy Page onto mat board, and also cut out his arm to be the hour hand. Then I would attach the plate with Jimmy Page on it to a record, and Vinyl cut the numbers to go around it. Finally I would 3D print a bracket to hang the clock against a wall. These images show me brainstorming and setting up these items in their respective software.
Here we have all the respective parts in the process of being made. There is the settings for laser printing, the preview of the Vinyl cut, and the 3D print setup. There are also all of the parts on the machines.
Then I had all the pieces apart, and I put them together to make the final clock! The pieces were put together using the clock and clock arm mechanism, and hot glue was used to attach the hanging bracket to the back of the clock. You can see that final product in the bottom left corner.
P.S. I decided to go with just the four numbers for two reasons, one: I thought that it looked nicer, and two: the vinyl cut out just slightly too big so I would have had to do all of them one by one.

Finally, I learned a lot through this project. I found out that sometimes doing the more complicated build does pay off, as I am beyond happy with how my project turned out. I additionally learned how to cut off a piece of something in Adobe Illustrator. I learned that you should really make the vinyl a lot smaller than the object you are putting it on to avoid having to putting it on in pieces. Finally, I also learned that you have to make sure that the hot glue is completely set before you set it down, because the hanging bracket moved when I set it down and then set in a wrong position. Overall I was very satisfied with this project, and the course all together.
